Something happens. Let's say you promised yourself you'll go for a walk and it's time to go.
Your mind produces a sentence. “I really don't feel like it.”
That sentence shapes your reaction and your mood. You suddenly 'don't feel' like going and as a result you don't. The way you feel is dictating what happens next.
So the whole loop is you say something, it makes you feel a certain way, that puts you in a mood and that mood then dictates whether you take action. That whole cycle has the potential to limit not only your actions but your results and it happens so quickly most times we don't even notice it.
But when you change the sentence, you change your mood, your reaction AND your results. That is what The Self-Talk Effect teaches you to do.
